ICT Strategic Planning
ICT strategic planning is concerned with planning for business systems, information management and information and communications technology. It also takes into account the wider government business environment to ensure the needs of clients and partners are met. As part of the government's strategic planning cycle, agencies are required to review their ICT strategy on an annual basis.
A new Agency ICT Strategic Plan template has been developed to assist agencies. The template is aligned with the NSW Government ICT Strategic Plan. It gives structure to agency ICT strategic planning and is intended to streamline and simplify existing processes. Supplementary documentation can be developed by agencies for their own internal use.
The template should be read in conjunction with the People First ICT Strategy, NSW Treasury ICT Capital Investment Process, the Total Asset Management Guidelines and Agency Results and Services Plans.
