GLS delivers excellent bottom line results for Industry and Investment NSW

I&I NSW agreed to work with the Department of Commerce to implement the GLS after investigating various options for a replacement of a management system for fishing fees.

The excellent bottom line result delivered by the GLS encompasses financial, environmental and social benefits. These include:

• Increasing the revenue by 20% in the first year
• Introducing BPAY as a new more efficient system of payment
• Increasing usage of electronic services by 15%
• Introducing new plastic cards which are more functional than paper
• Enabling anglers to renew their licenses rather than purchasing new license upon expiry
• Increasing funding for programs to improve recreational fishing.
