Customer Interface Management

last modified 10 May 2007 06:53 AM

The Customer Interface Management (CIM) project was established to deliver a consistent ‘look and feel’ to all publicly accessible NSW Government websites with the objective to:

  • make it easier to search for information and navigate within and across NSW Government websites;
  • promote community trust in content by identifying the site as an official NSW Government site and
  • minimise the cost of website development and design.

The Customer Interface Management Reference Group (an inter-agency reference group) was formed to help develop these objectives. The CIM Reference Group comprises of NSW Government agency representatives with website design, technical and content development skills and worked with GCIO to develop the NSW Government Website Style Directive and supporting information.  This group will continue in order to maintain the currency of the NSW Government Website Style Directive and consider further enhancements to web-based service delivery.

The NSW Government also requires that all NSW Government websites comply with the Style Directive by 30th June 2007. The NSW Government Website Compliance area outlines agencies' website compliance obligations.
