The development of the CIO Executive Council was one of the priority initiatives of the NSW Government CIO as a means of advancing the NSW Government’s ICT agenda and facilitating communication between the Government Chief Information Office (GCIO) and agencies.

The role of the CIO Executive Council is to set direction and advise on ICT initiatives to reduce cost and improve service delivery. Representatives include Chief Information Officers from NSW’s various Government Agencies.

CIO Council Working Groups - Key Contacts

The CIO Executive Council in collaboration and partnership with GCIO has established fourteen working groups to commence the implementation of the PeopleFirst programs of work and these groups are already delivering results.
